PROFILE;
Shim Jang Taekwondo Assistant Grand Masters (AGM) have many years of experience at Master Instructor level; the AGM has, through hard work, perseverance, loyalty and dedication risen to an executive level within the organisation, AGM’s are also required to be more heavily focused and involved with the growth and development of the organisation on a national level.
An AGM’s primary role is to assist the Deputy Grand Master in providing advice, support and education to branch Instructors around the country. The AGM is constantly promoting the art by way of regular examinations and educational instructor conferences.
AGM Craig Ryan is an experienced, no-nonsense instructor who began his Martial Arts Career in the early 1990’s and commenced training in the art of Taekwondo under the guidance of WSTA Founder and Grandmaster Instructor Mr Les Hicks at Tweed Heads in 1995, by 1997 Craig was assisting Grandmaster Hicks with the arts establishment throughout the Gold Coast Region and he was teaching classes 5 nights per week in order to support the arts growing needs and to ensure that the art became firmly established throughout the Tweed Heads and Gold Coast Regions.
AGM Ryan was directly responsible for the establishment of the Terranora, Tumbulgum, Banora Point, Palm Beach and Oxenford Centres which are all still operating successfully to this day.
AGM Ryan is a highly experienced Instructor and an excellent Martial Artist who continues to work extremely hard assisting the WSTA with its future growth and development.
